Lessons from Kathmandu

Though much time has passed since the year I spent in South Asia, when I find myself lost in the materialism of my own culture, I continue to turn to the inspiration instilled in me by the kids I worked with in an orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal. Having survived a life of poverty, one of them nonetheless wrote and painted the below quote on the orphanage wall. As the months went by, I began to believe him.
